Hi Mel, euthanasia and mercy killing, even is mercy, we're talking about killing, and it's a sin.
so I'd sentence the euthanasia and mercy killing. What if some one who is in comma died by euthanasia or mercy killing? and he/she could wake up someday? Whenever there's life, there's hope.
Big greetings and big hugs

Hi Mel, you know, I couldn't kill (or allow some one to kill) some one in comma. I also think that if there's life yet, there's hope. No one knows, what if the person in comma wakes up, and everyone agree to kill him/her with euthanasia or mercy killing. Everyone could regret that, and feel guilty.
Greetings and hugs
Nice Day, with my whole soul:

Thou I once posted a topic on hopeless resignation, I still find mercy killing a murder. In the Philippine hospitals, we let patients and folks choose for a treatment or not. We ask them to sign "do not resuscitate" document if that is their wish. In doing so we just dont give the medications that they refuse but not necessarily provide something to end the patient's life. It is basically hopeless resignation and not murder. Euthanasia is murder.
Hi Arthur,
What a good point of view, but what about the expenses of the family of the person in comma? If a person is kept alive just by life support system for a long time, can we blame his family if they are already bankrupt? It's just a question for further thought and discussion. Thanks for your point of view. God bless you and your loved ones.

When you have no power to breathe life to a person, you have no right to take away life too...
Hi Preetha,
Thank you for your visit and your comments. Your point of view is well taken. Your remark is full of wisdom. Thanks again. God bless.
if i'm the one comatose, i'd opt for euthanasia
Hi Tin-tin,
Yes, but sometimes the person affected can no longer decide for himself. The decision will lie on his immediate family. If the patient remained comatose for an indefinite period of time and his family have already exhausted all means to revive him to no avail, and they are already out of money, what do you think their collective decision would be? Just food for thought my friend. Thanks for your visit. God bless you and your loved ones always.
It depends on what the chances of the person coming back to consciousness are.In case of a brain dead person, there is no point of keeping the person on a ventilator just because the heart is still beating.Once the EEG and other tests have confirmed about the state of the brain function,it can be decided.
