Should all whaling activities be stopped to save the whales? Should countries who persist in illegal whaling activities be condemned?

Man is so bad at organising things - we can't take a sensible harvest, a a good steward under God would; we have to go too far.

So probably in this case we should stop. But it is sin that is the cause of even these problems and we can't expect perfect administration until the Lord Jesus comes to reign.

Hi Charmie,
Yes, you are right. Japan is circumventing the international law against whaling and they had brushes with Greenpeace and other anti whaling organizations. Japan should look for other sources of food instead of indiscriminately hunting down whales. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi David,
Amen to what you say. We are indeed poor stewards of God's divine providence. Man's greediness pushes him to overdo all things even to the eventual destruction of God's patrimony. A worldwide pressure from all governments and private individuals can force Japan to abandon her voracious and insensitive ways. Thanks for your visit and meaningful comments. God bless you always.

Our place use t kill whales until the law was enacted there. Yes, whales should be left alone.

Thank you so much for the greetings Kuya..

Hi Rose,
Happy Birthday Rose. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

hhhaha....natatawa ako sa reply mo kay sis Rose kuyaMel...grabi...isang eroplanong roses...my gosh....padala nalang yung iba sa kin pag d kakasya...ehehehhe!

oh boy...they should leave those mammals alone...kawawa naman kasi...hubby and I loves watching the show about whales...it's called Whale Wars....I am very proud of those people who voluntarily work just to save the whales across the pacific.

Hi Dhemz,
Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Arvin,

I believe so. Those kind of activities must be stop. Man has become corrupt and greedy that even if we knew the grave effect it will cause us in the future, still we pursue such activity to gain wealth.I hope its not yet late for us to wake up one day and realize how cruel we've become to our mother nature and other species here on Earth.

This is very bad on the part of Japan. They are just giving a technical excuse to get around hte horrible practice of killing whales!!

Whales are wonderful creatures. If this goes on many of our future generations will not be able to see their magnificence. Something must be done!

imelda said...

it should be stopped and the sooner the better mel lest whales will get extinct in the seas.

Hi Yen,
How right you are. Man has become greedy and rapacious and if he will not stop his nefarious activities, we may someday wake up in a world devoid of the bounties of nature. What a desolate world that would be. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Enduring Spirit,
Yes, I agree with you. All people of the world and all nations on earth must stand united to condemn those countries who still persist in hunting down and killing these poor defenseless whales. It is ironic that the inhabitants of these nations are so prosperous and can afford other food and not feast on whale's meat. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Imelda,
Yes, I agree with you. The world community must confront the perpetrators of these inhuman crimes who commit their grisly deeds all in the guise of the pursuit of knowledge. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Bambie,
Thanks for agreeing with the viewpoint of my readers although I apologized for whatever criticism that may have been said about the Japanese people. No malice intended there. Yes, I am really impressed sa samahan ninyong Kumares, Inc. Very ideal indeed. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

They should be prosecuted by law because it is illegal. People in this generation are way too much already, that I don't know what will gonna happened to us if all of a sudden their will be an imbalance of nature. All this being from whales to elephants to trees are natural resources they are here for a certain purposes and they can live without human beings but we can't live without them. And now people just abuse them.
Ang sa akin if somebody will catch a whale killer they should be thrown in the middle of nowhere, lol!!

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Bambie dear,
Thanks for being understanding and open minded. I really appreciate that. God bless you all always.

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Kim,
The problem is international law cannot be effectively implemented if the offending country refuses to cooperate. This might result in open war if protectionist organizations like Greenpeace would force the issue like what happened to an Australian ship that confronted a Japanese whaling ship. There was almost bloodshed. Good thing cooler heads prevailed. Thanks for your visit and valuable points of views. God bless you always.
