No amount of progress justifies the unabated rape of our forests. As Al Gore mentioned during his recent trip to the Philippines, it is not economic but a moral issue.

When will humans learn?

Hi Lotus Flower,
Yes, I agree with you. Good if we use sustainable development for our forest and mountains but no, we denude them because of greed. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Arvin,
Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

We help together para maibalik yon. Save our mother heart by planting more trees and just like you said Kuya total logging ban.

Have a happy weekend po! God Bless:)

Agree with lotus, its not an economic issue but rather of moral issue. Government has enough rules and guidelines on preserving our forest, but why is it these things do still happened. Maybe those under the authority should go out their cubicles and see it for themselves whats happening outside. And strictly implement the rules.

Hi Charmie,
The problem in our country is that people view things on their own personal motives. Katulad ni former Governor Grace Padaca. She advocated total logging ban in Isabela but that did not sit well with her province mates because most of them earn their livelihood from illegal logging during the time of Faustino Dy. Padaca lost in the recent election to a Dy and most assuredly, illegal logging will return to Isabela. How can we get real progress in this country when some people are so myopic in their perspective in life? Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Yen,
The problem is that most of these officials in their air conditioned cubicles are also corrupt and have sold the interest of the country to greedy people. The DENR is one of the most corrupt and inept departments in our country. I hope Pres. Noynoy can really eradicate corruption in this country as per his campaign promise. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
