Hi Mel! Kind of scary but I guess its true.Anything is possible and human capabilities do have limitations.
Difficult topic... Since we, as Christians have power over such things, it is hard for me to accept that a person can lose their ability to make their own choices. The words... "Get thee behind me Satan!" should be sufficient when one feels as if they are under some kind of spiritual attack. That, plus prayer and invoking the power of Jesus, Son of God. I never worry about such things and have never witnessed such things.
Maybe that is what insanity and some forms of mental illness are - demonic possession. Who knows? It's an interesting question subject to much debate.
When I was a kid, we used to have a neighbor who was possessed by demons---kind of exorcism. But I don't know if it was true , I was then about 9 or 10 yrs old. My brothers and I were so scared to go even near that neighbor's house. But a lot of other neighbors were talking about it a lot so I guess it might be true.

Yes, it is too far fetched for you because you are a Christian and has very strong faith. But those who are easily swayed by the guile of the enemy and who have lusted for power have sometimes succumbed to this kind of enslavement. The Bible have cited several instances of devil possession like the man in the cemetery who was naked and could not be held back by chains. He was delivered from demon possession by Jesus. Another instance is the man with a legion of demons inside him. The demons were casted out by Jesus and they entered a herd of swine who dashed out and drowned in the sea. If we believe in God surely we must also believe in demons who could take possession of weak and sin enslaved individuals. Thanks for your visit and enlightened comments. God bless you always.
