When I was a kid all i look forward for christmas is the new clothes, carolling, As I grow up, I celebrate christmas by going to church and give thanks to God, When I was teaching I celebrate christmas by giving gifts to my students and give them the christmas party that they will remember when they grow up. now that I have a family, we celebrate christmas by loving each other, buy gifts for our kids, and more and thankful for all the blessings. Dito Sir Mel Christmas is more of Santa claus. How about you Sir mel, how do you celebrate christmas?

very good topic kuya Mel....:)

here in the US...sa family ni Greg...we celebrate Christmas with the rest of the Dias Clan....we sing some Christmas songs....we do the white elephant, and we eat....ehhehehe!

I still misses the Filipino tradition...wala talagang makakapantay sa tradition ng mga pinoy.....:)

Hi sis Pia,
Yes, we do celebrate Christmas with a lot of food. Just be very careful in eating and try not to over indulge. You have such a wonderful figure now and it will be a pity if you will disfigure it because of overeating. Try to maintain your slim figure. You know how hard it is to attain such a beautiful figure. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Dhemz,
I'm just curious what is the white elephant? Is it a dance or a party game? Pasensiya na sa ignorance ko. Wala talagang makapapantay sa Christmas celebration sa Pinas both in solemnity and extravagance. I hope you will have a truly wonderful Christmas celebration there. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

When I was a kid I am excited to know that Christmas is coming because in my mind it is all about gifts, and food.
When in my young adult parang may kulang na somehow in Christmas time parang you are not happy 100% kung party at gift lang...that then I realize Christmas is about Jesus birth. That is why we celebrate Christmas!!
It is funny the other day hubby asked what is my wish list. He gave me a paper to write and I just wrote NONE!! He said no, there must be something that you like. I told him "Hon what I only want for Christmas is to go to church and hear mass" at umiyak na ako Mel dahil I missed the 9 days dawn mass sa Pinas. I continued to tell him material things are there forever and I can buy it anytime I want, and so hopefully walang masyadong snow next week for the start of the dawn masses.

Let us just focus on the positive side of our lives and banish in our minds yung mga kakulangan. I respect you more for your stands in life. You are indeed highly spiritual. Salamat sa dalaw. God bless you all always.

I salute you ate Kim bibihira na ang taong hindi materyose esp dito sa States. Hubby asked me that too and I told him that the gifts he sent to my family in Pinas is more than enough.

Miss ko din ang simbang gabi and noche buena dyan satin, ibang iba kasi dito.. parang more on materials things ang celebration ng pasko rather than spiritual.

I second the motion kay sis Rose...saludo ako kay ateKim....indeed...mga tao kasi dito...halos materialistic....na miss ko talaga ang simbang gabi.....:)

Hi Rose,
Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all. Merry Christmas to you all.

Hi Dhemz,
On the other hand, marami rin namang benepisyo ang pagtira nyo diyan. God bless you all always.

ANyway, advance Merry Christmas =)

Hi Bambie dear,
Laging masaya, laging nagkakainan at nagkukwentuhan. Merry Christmas to you all too. God bless you all always.
