I have an organ donor card -- though I think it's actually linked to my driver's license. If I should die unexpectedly, with useable organs, why not pass them on to someone who needs them? I certainly won't be attached to them at that point.

There is no doubt, I would definitely donate any functional organs in the event of dying or departure from life.

There is no beneficial in keeping them anyway once you depart in this world. So why not give them for a good cause?

I agree with Calleigh, giving away useful organs to destitute individual can be a great help since everything will be futile for you.

Hi Jennifer,
That's very thoughtful of you. God bless you more for that. Not all countries have an organ donor card attached to their driver's license. In some countries one has to ask one from the proper agency. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Calleigh,
Very well said. It is unfortunate that the absence of such card has prevented automatic organ donations from so many victims of sudden accidental deaths. One must strive to possess such card so that his wish will materialize. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

i can't use any of my organs anymore when i die so i don't see why i shouldn't donate them if somebody needs any of my functional organs.

Hi sis Pia,
Your wish will be made more practical if you have an organ donor card in your wallet so that if anything untoward happens to you, the proper medical authorities will know what to do with your still functioning organs. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

I AM an organ donor through my driver's license. My family knows how I feel and will support my wished to donate ANY organs should I die. It is the greatest gift that I could give someone!

I waived that option upon getting my driver's license... It's not that I disagree with the idea but I don't know how to feel about it. Probably because I can't imagine myself being cut into different parts once I'm dead or something like that... or perhaps because I'm not scared to die and Science might just prolong some suffering...

Hi Jen,
That is so wonderful. Through our donated organs, someone's life will be prolonged. What better legacy can we leave to those who will benefit from our organ donation. I wish all driver's licenses will have the same features as yours. Thanks for your visit and inspired comments. God bless you always.
