Limited Abortion For Pregnancies Resulting From Rape And Incest?

Are you in favor of limited abortion for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest? How about abortion for pregnant women whose lives will be in great jeopardy if the unborn child is delivered? Please explain your answer.

As much as I believe in the fact that we have no right to take a life,it's better such pregnancies are terminated because it is better for the victim as well as the poor child who would be subject to a lifetime of abuse and tagged as a "bastard" for no fault but just because they were born.

This is another tough but interesting question, Mel. But before I answer that, let me thank you personally for reading my interviews and leaving inspiring comments.

Here is my answer.

I am definitely NOT in any way to agree any kind of abortion for whatever reason including rape and health concerns. I believe that it is Our Creator who must decide about life.

I have a very close friend of mine who was born out of rape and so far, she is one of the best persons I ever met.

By the way, I have a good suggestion for you. Why not join MyLot forum and submit your interesting questions there? The good thing about them is they are paying $ (thru Paypal) for interesting and quality posts / questions. Plus it is a good way of promoting your blogs for free. I am sure it will be easy for you to attract commentators.

I am starting to be an active member and it is helping my blogs while earning a few bucks. Not bad at all.

Sorry for the long comment.

I think abortion can be an option for rape and incest victims. The aftermath is too traumatic even to deal with for the mother alone. The effects can pass down on to the child. Also , I think it's okay and the medical professionals are advocating it ----the life of the mother is always prioritized when this happen.

Hi Sameera,
Hmmmm, very interesting point of view. You are quite liberal in your viewpoint but I respect it. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always my dear friend and matchmaker (of Preetilata and Rubix).

Hi Angel,
I respect your stand on this although others may disagree especially when the health of the mother is at stake. But at the end of the day, we contend with our own consciences to guide us through our decisions. Thanks for recommending MyLot Forum to me. I will try it to earn a little cash. I really need it. Thanks again for your visit and intelligent comments. God bless you always.

Hi Bingkee,
Thanks for your informed point of view. As I said, this may be a matter of following one's conscience. There is no legalized abortion in the Philippines so any abortion to be made for whatever reason has to be done clandestinely. Mothers whose lives will be in danger when they deliver are exceptions. Doctors here may resort to forced abortion to save the life of the mother. Thanks for your enlightened point of view. God bless you always my friend.

honestly, bro, i don't really know what to do. but i were to deliver a child and my life will be in danger if i do so, i'd still choose to continue my pregnancy. i will deliver the child even if that'll cost me my life.

Hi Pia,
In situations like that, decisions are made by their next of kin, usually the husband. To a husband and to parents, the life of the wife or the daughter is far too precious than an unborn child. Doctors perform such kind of forced abortions to save the life of the mother. The best thing to do if is to have a tubal ligation to avoid unwanted pregnancy. Thanks for your point of view my dear sister and friend. You are a true Christian indeed with that stand in life. God bless you and your loved ones always my dear sister and friend.

The baby is innocent. Why are we willing to right a wrong by killing the innocent?

There is ALWAYS adoption.

That being said, I cannot judge another for the choices that they make. I can only pray that they will seek the council of God to know what is right.
