Hi Mel,

I think this question reminds me of my college years, and I am happy that those times there were many good movies, unlike today (sigh!)

Anyway, I have many choices in my mind but I think I will vote for Ghost starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and the Whoopi Goldberg who I think won a Grammy Award for her exciting performance.

I love the movie because death was given emphasis as an non-hindrance to share your true love. Although the story is fictional, anyone who saw the movie may believe that it can happen. But of course, who would not love the song - Enchanted Melody, and the hair style of Demi Moore that became a fashion trend?

I am not so sure but I think the movie was shown here in the Philippines for 2 months continuously and consistently earning viewers.

But what I am sure of is that we watched twice because the first time we did, the movie house was so crowded and we cannot concentrate on the movie.

Thanks!

I think that it would be Wizard of OZ... it is a family movie and is still magical and epic, even in this day of high tech movie making.

I also love Forrest Gump and it never fails to make me laugh, but the audience is limited. Not everyone around here can watch it yet.

Hope that you are doing really well Mel.

Hi Angel,
Yes, Ghost is a hauntingly beautiful movie that created a trend in movie making during that time. Demi Moore was really a beautiful goddess in that film and Whoopie Goldberg outshined everybody else by playing the role of the pyschic person who can see the ghost. The movie theme song was Unchained Melody popularized in the 50s by the Righteous Bros. and made famous by Roy Hamilton. Just don't ask me why I know all the details. Suffice it so to say that I have researched them at Wikipedia, he,he,he,*lol* Convincing ba? Thanks for your visit and valued point of view. God bless you always.

Your choice for the best movie of all time conforms to your character. You are hopelessly romantic my dear friend. That's why you hit it well with Noushy. You are both always in love. Thanks for your visit and your choice of the best movie of all time. You might want to know my own choice. They're written in my tags. God bless you always my dear friend.

Hi Jennifer,
How I love it. The Judy Garland classic is really an all time greatest movie ever. I could not forget the ruby slippers of Dorothy, the yellow brick road, the cowardly lion, the tin man and the scarecrow, the witch and of course the wizard of Oz. Those were the golden years of movies when movies were really good and you leave the cinema all inspired and feeling on top of the world or crying your heart out. Thanks for your visit and your choice. God bless you always.

I really don't think I could answer this question, but I have to agree with the commenter above about the Wizard of Oz. It is an absolute classic. As well as that I think It's A Wonderful Life also has that timeless quality.
